Managing Director
Mr. Brenneman is a Managing Director in the Ares Credit Group, where he focuses on the group's commercial finance platform. Prior to joining Ares in 2025, Mr. Brenneman was a Senior Vice President at Huntington Bank, where he focused on originating and underwriting senior secured, asset-based credit facilities to companies operating within the middle-market healthcare industry. Previously, Mr. Brenneman was an Executive Vice President and a founding management team member of Sector Financial, an affiliate of Credit Suisse, where he focused on originating and managing a portfolio of direct loan assets in the healthcare industry. In addition, he held roles at Capital One and CapitalSource Finance, where he served in origination, underwriting and portfolio management capacities within each firm's healthcare specialty lending vertical. Mr. Brenneman holds a B.S. from the University of Maryland, College Park in Finance.
