Mr. Nicholson is a Managing Director and Head of Engineering, Systematic Credit in the Ares Technology and Information Security Group. Prior to joining Ares in 2026, Mr. Nicholson was the Head of Engineering at BlueCove, a systematic fixed income asset management firm. Previously, he was a Director of Technology Operations at GDS. In addition, Mr. Nicholson was the Head of Infrastructure & Operations at Wowcher, Head of DevOps at AsianLogic, and Manager of Platform Operations at Betfair. Mr. Nicholson holds a B.A. from the Centre of Cognitive Science, Sussex University in Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence.
